Vermuts Miró va sorgir a la ciutat de Reus com un element tradicional, fet per les famílies de forma casolana. Passat els anys, avui dia, el vermut de reus és considerat un beure exquisit amb molt de prestigi i molt reconegut des de la pròpia ciutat fins a tota Europa. El vermut de reus ha permès a la seva ciutat afavorir el seu desenvolupament econòmic i poder arribar a ser, en poc temps, un referent en el mapa del mercat de vermuts, juntament amb altres ciutats importants com són París i Londres.

Rere tota la trajectòria que porta a l’espatlla el Vermuts Miró de Reus, repassant una mica la seva història, es funda a Reus l’any 1957 amb l’especialització de productes envasats i, evidentment, amb l’elaboració del Vermut. A més, una selecció de vins aromatitzats i de licor ja era elaborada per la família Miró, a granel. A l’aniversari del seu centenari, l’any 2015, a la família continua la passió pel vermut i, gràcies a això, avui dia, la generació més novella dels Miró continua al capdavant de vermuts Miró. Fet que fa que quan et beguis un vermut de Reus puguis notar l’essència Miró que mai ha perdut i ha volgut conservar al llarg de la seva trajectòria de generació en generació.

No és d’estranyar que Vermuts Miró hagi pensat en fer un rentat de cara, ja que la tradició de l’empresa no es caracteritzava fins ara precisament per la seva modernitat. És per això que han fet un salt qualitatiu i han donat un pas molt important cap endavant presentant una nova imatge que recalca la modernitat, però mantenint els valors que sempre ha tingut l´empresa: tradició i innovació lligades de la mà.

A Vermuts Miró treballa i col·labora una quantitat de gent important, des de cantants fins a cuiners reconeguts. A més, s’hi ofereix un tast de vermut en una visita guiada, els dissabtes a les 12 del migdia, menys festius.

Miró ROIG

MIRÓ ROIG has a deep ruby red colour in the glass, with dark orange-brown hues. Rich on the nose, this is a full and refreshing vermouth with aromas of natural herbs (abstinthe, rosemary, basil…)

Miró blanc

MIRÓ BLANC is the perfect blend of a dry white wine with a sweet, soft and fine touch.

Miró reserva

MIRÓ RESERVA “Etiqueta Negra” (Black label) is made according to the Miró family old formula.

Miró Extra Dry

MIRÓ EXTRA DRY is a special recipe with a fresher aroma of berry fruits like juniper, clear, clean and soft.

Rojo Fusión is an “author vermouth”. Its new formula was developed in partnership with the prestigious chef Paco Pérez (5-star Michelin).

“Vermut de Reus” became famous in the 19th Century. It was elaborated homemade by several families in our city, and nowadays it has a great reputation everywhere in Europe. Our vermut played a key role in the economic development of the city of Reus. It puts us in the global map of aperitifs, next to London and Paris.

PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE 

Vermouth Miró was founded in the city of Reus in 1957 specializing in the manufacture of packaged products, and especially in the preparation of traditional Vermut de Reus. But since its origins, the Miró family winemaking and wine flavored liqueur prodcution were mainly in bulk. 2014 was the 100th anniversary of Miró family, and we are proud to say that entrusting the passion from generation to generation allow us to presume of a long tradition (you can feel it in our products essence). The tradition is not incompatible with modernity. So, in order to trade in the global markets, we have taken several leaps in process management and logistics, which allowed us to expand significantly our distribution network.

Emilio Miró Salvat (1910-1990)

At the end of the Civil War, after his father’s death (Emilio Miró Olive), Emilio Jr. focused on recovering the familiar business with the vineyards in Cornudella del Montsant. He inherited a farmhouse and a wine cellar in the ground floor (which is still preserved). In 1957, he moved to Reus (the cradle of vermut era) in order to give a new direction to the business and to specialize in vermouth and liqueur wines.

Pere Miró Aguadé (1940-2016)

Emilio Miró Salvat’s son. Father and son run up the familiar business, firstly in Cornudella del Montsant and later, in Reus. When Emilio Miró Salvat passed away, Pere took up the reins of the company and he was able to expand the quality of Vermuts Miró to a national and international level.

He is a well-known Catalan chef with 5-stars Michelin. Two stars for his restaurant in Llançà, Miramar; another two stars for Enoteca restaurant, Arts Hotel in Barcelona; and the last one for “5” restaurant, the only one out of Spain, in the Hotel Das Stue in Berlin. His style as authentic and fresh Mediterranean cooking has made him famous over the world.

He started in 1987 as part of the pop-band OM. Later, he joined the band Cafè París and released the album “Cafè París” (1996, Tram) which made strong showings on the Spanish charts. He had composed several pieces for theatre plays and he also played roles as a musician and actor in them.

Fito Luri & Vermuts Miró began their alliance in 2015 in order to carry out a concert and a record “Casiopea” (La Mussara). Even so, this collaboration still lasts and they keep together to boost culture through the best pairing: music and vermut.

Joel Reyes is a singer and song-writer born in Reus and settled in Madrid. He joined the pop band Baked Beans, in late 90s, and they recorded 3 full albums. Following this success, he moved to Madrid in 2001 and started his solo career. In 2015 Vermuts Miró sponsored Joel’s last record “El fuego amigo”. They started together a tour concerts for several cities as Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, Santander…

Pianist, composer, director and founder of the Bouquet Festival of Tarragona and artistic director of the Festival Vermúsic de Reus.

She began her musical studies in the Professional Conservatory of Tarragona and continued them in Vilaseca. She passed with Honors the last piano course as a free student at the Tarragona Conservatory. Throughout her professional trajectory she has continued her training and specialization in the most prestigious international academies and conservatories.

She has recently recorded her second album, for which she is receiving excellent reviews from the press.

Author of the “Guía del Vermut”, she did a comprehensive radiography of vermouth in Spain. Currently, she combines the work of Vermuts Miró Brand Ambassador and the International Wine Challenge Ambassador with the promotion of the world of wine and vermouth.

Journalist and collaborator in several media, international judge and lecturer for the wine industry. Bachs was the founder and director of the first edition of the Competition of the Catalan Vermuts 2015 (Premis Vinari) and director of the 2016, 2017, 2018 editions of the Catalan Wines Challenge (Premis Vinari).

Christiàn Escribà is the fourth generation of pastry chefs who begun in Barcelona, taking this amazing art even further. He has truly become one of the top avant-garde chefs in the world, dazzling and fascinating everyone with his almost other-worldly creations.

He is currently in charge of two leading patisseries in Barcelona: the charming decorated house in Les Rambles and the new one patisserie in Gran Via de Les Corts Catalanes.

Escribà is a fan of vermut. He is always thinking in a sweet way, so that was the reason to team up with Miró and start a “sweet friendship”. He introduced vermouth in fine patisserie and create something exceptional with Vermut Miró that are meant to make anyone wish to eat vermut instead of drink.

GUIDED TOUR

We offer a guided tour to discover one of the ancient and authentic companies of Vermut de Reus. Let´s be and alchemist for a day and fins out the essence of Vermut Miró! The tour includes a tasting of Miró vermuts and other products.
