Miró Vermouth Joins Gaudí Year 2026 as Sponsor of the New Mural Dedicated to Antoni Gaudí in Reus

Mural GaudíAt Miró Vermouth, we are especially proud to be part of initiatives that help preserve and promote the cultural heritage of our city. For this reason, we have collaborated as sponsors of the new mural dedicated to Antoni Gaudí, inaugurated on June 6 in Reus as part of the Gaudí Year 2026 programme.

Located on the façade of the rectory of the Parish of Sant Joan Baptista, the artwork pays tribute to one of the most universal figures born in our city. The inauguration was attended by several institutional representatives and authorities, including Sandra Guaita, Mayor of Reus; Josep Baiges, Deputy of the Provincial Council of Tarragona; Maite Gaudí, President of the Friends of Gaudí Association of Reus; Father Joan de Ribas; and the artist behind the mural, Jonatan Carranza, professionally known as Sojo.

Measuring 21 metres high and 6.5 metres wide, the mural has become one of the most significant artistic tributes to Antoni Gaudí within Reus’ urban landscape. The piece, entitled “Gaudí, from Reus to the World”, depicts various elements connected to the architect’s life and creative universe, strengthening the bond between the city and its most internationally renowned figure.

At Miró Vermouth, we believe that supporting this project is another way of investing in culture, local heritage and initiatives that help highlight the history and identity of Reus. As a brand deeply rooted in the city, we share with Gaudí Year the goal of showcasing to the world the talent, creativity and legacy of the figures who have shaped our history.

The mural has been promoted by the Friends of Gaudí Association of Reus with the support of the City Council of Reus, the Provincial Council of Tarragona, the Parish of Sant Joan Baptista and several collaborating companies. This initiative is part of the more than one hundred activities scheduled throughout Gaudí Year 2026, a commemoration marking the centenary of the architect’s death and aimed at deepening public knowledge of his work while strengthening the connection between Gaudí and his hometown.

The project will continue to evolve in the coming months. A second phase is planned for October and will include interactive digital content developed by artist Gala Mirissa. Through a QR code, visitors will be able to access 2D and 3D animations that will offer a deeper insight into Gaudí’s legacy and creative universe.

For Miró Vermouth, taking part in initiatives such as this reflects our commitment to culture, heritage and the promotion of Reus. We are proud to contribute to projects that strengthen the city’s identity and help keep alive the legacy of such an exceptional figure as Antoni Gaudí, bringing his name, his work and his inspiration from Reus to the world.
