Miró Vermouth and Forn Sistaré light up Reus with the presentation of the Coca Ganxeta

Today, October 17th, at the Casa Rull Garden, we experienced a very special moment for Miró Vermouth and the city of Reus: the official presentation of the Coca Ganxeta, an initiative led by Miró in collaboration with master baker Xavier Pàmies Sistaré, ambassador of our brand and a true symbol of local craftsmanship.

The Coca Ganxeta is much more than a gastronomic proposal — it’s a tribute to the city, to vermouth, and to the trades that keep its spirit alive. On October 24th, at 7 p.m., Plaça del Mercadal will become the stage for a great popular celebration, where Xavier Pàmies will prepare a 45-meter-long coca, made of bread and flambéed with Miró Vermouth.

This unique spectacle will fill the heart of Reus with the unmistakable aroma of our vermouth and create a historic image: the coca will stretch from Reus City Hall to the Casa Navàs, connecting two of the city’s landmarks through a shared tradition.

At Miró Vermouth, we are deeply proud to be part of this initiative that combines gastronomy, tradition, and local creativity. As highlighted by Montserrat Caelles, general director of Miró Vermouth:

“The Coca Ganxeta is a tribute to Reus, to vermouth, and to artisanal craftsmanship. Having it become the largest coca flambéed with vermouth in the world is both a source of pride and a challenge we want to carry on into the future.”

The celebration will end with a tasting of the Coca Ganxeta, offering more than 1,500 portions to those attending. To continue the festivities, the restaurants around Plaça del Mercadal will serve Miró Vermouth at a special price of one euro, inviting everyone to toast to this historic moment.

At Miró Vermouth, we believe the best traditions are born from shared passion.
