Miró Ganxets Costa Daurada has achieved a historic milestone in European table tennis. The team from Reus has qualified for the second phase of the Women’s Champions League, after completing a brilliant first round and exceeding all expectations with a decisive 1-3 victory against the Hungarian team Budaörsi.
With this triumph, the players now join the group of the 12 best teams in the continent — an achievement that puts Reus and the Baix Camp region on the European sports map and confirms the upward trajectory of a project that combines talent, effort, and passion.
Miró and the commitment to talent and territory
At Vermouth Miró, the team’s main sponsor, we proudly celebrate this success that goes beyond sport. The collaboration with the Ganxets reflects our values: effort, perseverance, commitment to our territory, and international projection.
This milestone is not only a triumph for the team, but also fantastic news for the city of Reus, which will host three matches of the second phase at Carrer Evarist Fàbregas, the club’s headquarters. A unique opportunity for local fans to enjoy elite table tennis live and support players who are writing a new chapter in the sporting history of our region.
In the words of the club’s president, Joan Carles Virgili, this is a “historic qualification, achieved on our own merits,” which consolidates the Ganxets as one of the great surprises of this year’s competition.
With qualification secured, the Ganxets now face the second phase with their enthusiasm intact and the firm conviction that they can continue to dream. At Miró, we will be by their side along the way, reaffirming our commitment to sport, talent, and the values that unite us.
