We have joined the Food for Life-Spain Technological Platform (PTF4LS). In our 110 years of history, we have learned that legacy is worthless if it is not accompanied by constant innovation. Therefore, we believe that joining this pioneering network in the development of disruptive projects is a milestone that we must celebrate and share with all our partners. This collaboration is another step in Vermouth Miró’s ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability in the agri-food sector.
Food For Life-Spain is a key platform that facilitates coordination between various public and private actors in the agri-food sector, promoting collaboration and the development of innovative technologies. Its main objective is to foster the transfer of scientific and technological advances through public-private collaboration, ensuring the competitiveness and growth of the sector in Spain.
For us, joining this platform is an opportunity to strengthen our research, development, and innovation (R&D&i) capabilities. This collaboration will allow us to access new knowledge and technologies that will improve the quality and sustainability of our vermouths and flavored wines. Additionally, Vermouth Miró will be able to actively contribute to projects that address the current and future challenges of the agri-food sector.
Last year, 2023, thanks to the collaboration of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism and other technological centers, we launched the LOW SUGGAR project to research compounds from food loss that allow the production of vermouth without added sugars, and we reinforced our R&D investment by over €0.6M annually. With the commitment to strengthen and expand this investment, we are joining PTF4LS to learn about new trends and new partners with whom to develop high-value-added proposals.
