Miró Vermouth has achieved one of the most important milestones in its history. Miró Gran Reserva has been named the World’s Best Vermouth at the World Drinks Awards 2026 in London, the most prestigious international competition in the sector, recognizing excellence in premium beverages.
The announcement was made on June 2 during the global World Drinks Awards ceremony held at the Waldorf Hilton Hotel in London, where the world’s winners across all categories were revealed before an international panel of independent experts.
This recognition positions Miró Vermouth and Miró Gran Reserva as the world’s leading reference in the vermouth category, while further reinforcing Reus’ status as one of the historical capitals of vermouth production. The award is the culmination of a demanding selection process within the World Vermouth Awards, which form part of the World Drinks Awards and bring together some of the finest vermouth producers worldwide.
“The award represents extraordinary recognition of the work, knowledge and passion of everyone who is part of Miró Vermouth. Receiving the distinction of World’s Best Vermouth is a tremendous source of pride for the entire team and confirms that it is possible to remain faithful to our tradition while competing at the highest international level,” said Xavier Martínez, President of Miró Vermouth.
Martínez added: “This award goes beyond the Miró brand itself and also recognizes the long-standing vermouth tradition of Reus, a city that has played a decisive role in the history and prestige of vermouth around the world. At the same time, it strengthens our commitment to excellence, quality and the international promotion of vermouths produced in our region.”
A premium vermouth with extended aging
Miró Gran Reserva is a premium vermouth crafted through a lengthy maceration process followed by aging in French oak barrels. Full-bodied, complex and highly distinctive, it offers a bright, clear appearance with intense oak aromas, liqueur-like notes and sweet hints of raisins and Muscat grapes.
The product’s quality has been recognized on numerous occasions by industry experts. Miró Gran Reserva was previously named Best Vermouth of Catalonia at the 2025 Vinari Awards and has accumulated several prestigious distinctions since 2021.
