At Miró Vermouth, we are proud to renew our commitment to the Global Compact for Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility, a ONU initiative that leads corporate sustainability worldwide. Since joining the Global Compact in 2021, we have worked tirelessly to align our strategies and operations with its ten universal principles concerning human rights, labour standards, the environment, and anti-corruption.
Therefore, for another year, we will work to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies that integrate these principles into our daily activities. This ensures that our business practices respect human rights, promote decent working conditions, protect the environment, and reject corruption.
Since 2021, we have launched several initiatives to strengthen our commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability. We have reduced our carbon footprint by implementing sustainable technologies and optimising processes to minimise waste. In terms of energy, Miró and the other Masergrup companies are part of the ACEPAR project (Asociación Comunidad Energética del Polígono Agro-Reus), which comprises more than 10,300 m² of photovoltaic installations for producing and consuming clean energy. We have also adopted inclusive and egalitarian labour policies to ensure all our employees enjoy fair and respectful working conditions.
Our commitment to the United Nations Global Compact demonstrates our responsibility in the face of today’s global challenges. At Miró Vermouth, we firmly believe that sustainable development and social responsibility are essential for the future of our company and our planet.
