The origins of Vermuts Miró can be found as a bulk wine company, in 1914 in Cornudella de Montsant, Priorat region (Spain), the family’s place of provenance where the manor house and the wine cellar are still preserved. The Miró family made aromatized and liqueur wines with the typical Montsant varieties which were distributed throughout the region.
It was Emilio Miró Salvat who specialized in the traditional preparation of vermouth and moved to Reus (Baix Camp) in 1957, where that same year he founded Emilio Miró Salvat, S. A.
Since then, Vermuts Miró has made vermouth following the Original Formula, a secret that has been kept intact and in the strictest family secret until today. This is based on the careful selection of the best ingredients and the wisdom of combining them.
Emilio Miró Olivé, doctor from the village, founded the first winery in Cornudella de Montsant, Priorat.

After more than 100 years of tradition, passing on the passion from generation to generation, today the company enjoys a long experience in the elaboration of the traditional vermouth of Reus that is palpable in the essence of each one of its products.
The traditional way of production is complemented by the implementation of the latest technology in terms of filtration, stabilization and packaging systems, which allows Vermouth Miró to be a leading company in the sector. The company is currently present in more than thirty countries, always preserving the know-how acquired over decades to maintain the properties and quality of the product as it was made 80 years ago.
Over the years, not only the brand but also the vermouth range has expanded into different products and formats to reach an increasingly diversified audience with quality as the main trait. As of now, the Miró family of vermouths is made up of Bianco, Rosso, Extra Dry, Fusion, Organic, Reserva and Gran Reserva Vermouth.
